What 2Nd Hand Car For 100,000 Baht ? (At/ No Air Con ... )

Featured Replies

What car would you advice for 100,000 Baht ?

- Reliable

- Manual transmition

- No air con is OK.

- Open roof would be a nice but optional.

I think I will be very happy with something small like a suzuki caribean but I didn't find it under 150 000 baht

I also like the Jeep (like CJ-7) but it's a bit too expensive

Is there a similar model that would match my price range ?

If not what kind of car would you take ? I'm asking you this because I have a poor knowlege of thai 2nd hand market.

You should easily find a Caribean for under 100k. Look on cars4thais or one2car.

For that sort of money all you are going to be buying is a world of pain. Can you not buy a motorcycle and use that for your purposes? Certainly be a darn sight more reliable.

I have the motorbike for daily use, but I need a car for going out with the dog or when I'm going to the shop.

Also I think it will allow me to discover a bit further the area.

I don't want to use the car everyday, I just need one sometime so I want a cheap and reliable one.

Thank you Naboo for the advice.

twice that for a good one at least

Buy an older full frame truck/SUV and chop off the roof like they do with the older Chevy Blazers and Ford Broncos in the US.....

Perhaps a 5th or 6th hand car would be more accurate?

One thing for sure ... forget the exoten like BMW, Hyundai, Peugeot, Volvo, Opel and so on. Go for a old Toyota or Nissan. At least spare parts on every corner of the street and and keep the car as basic as possible. Electronics will give problems by old cars.
