Warning To Dog Lovers - Bang Rak

Featured Replies

I was talking to a vet the other day and the vet was telling me that there is a problem somewhere on the land that is opposite the Lae Lai restaurant on the beach heading south out of Bang Rak

This is the land that was to be a Country Club, but was found to have encroached on Forestry Land. It is on the left - south out of Bang Rak - past the Tyre shop. Big gates on the road to the land and a lovely road where cyclists, walkers, roller skaters etc enjoy a traffic free environment.

The vet was saying that at least 5 dogs have died recently from poisoning after drinking some water on this land. The reaction to the poison is very quick. 2 dogs died before they got to the vet, the others whilst at the vet.

I am NOT saying that there is anything malicious going on, it could be natural elements, but please take care if you walk your dog on this land. Do not let the dogs drink any of the standing water.

Apparently one owner has taken a sample of the water and sent it to Bangkok for analysis, so if I hear anything else - I will keep people posted.

the same thing happened to my friends dog in a park in england
