A friend mentioned about this to me last evening, she saw three planes flying together then they flew off in different directions very high and fast.

I jokingly said it could be aliens, she replied "no, it was daytime", like aliens only come during the night

Any more news on this? Would be interesting to know what they was doing.

Looking for "" aliens "" on Samui. Well that's they call us according to Thai Immigration.

They are based at Suratthani Air Force base [ Air Force Wing 7 ], which also happens to be used by civilian aircraft.

Google it, some interesting facts, such as they are the only base with the new Gripens. They quite often do fly over Samui.

Looking at the photo on the front page of your second link, http://www.gripenblo...f9-c11c7b4ca9fa it would seem to me that all the airmen in blue uniform look Thai, but all those in white shirts behind look farang? Swedish?

Am I missing something here?

These Farang guys come as part of the purchase package to carry out training. (To stop them from getting broken).

Similar to when the Thai navy brought the Spanish harriers.
