WHADDAMINUTE!!!

I just read the whole thread again.

Haven't most folks come to the country to get away from things like Blackberries?

Anyone still remember how to write a letter using a pen and paper?

Hi, I appreciate the comments, but the reason I resurrected this thread was to find out if anyone had experience buying a Blackberry in Chiang Mai. I am aware of the debates over smartphones: different people prefer different devices for reasons of function, value, durability, etc.

By the way, here's a link to AIS's pushmail promotion: http://www.smartsolutions.ais.co.th/AISPus...tion/index.html

Googling a little, I found the links below to three different Blackberry models for sale in Thailand, looks like you can order them online:

After some sleuthing I have answered my own question: nowhere. AIS and True Move are the two providers in Thailand who offer BB. Yet neither the AIS main office on Kamphaeng Din nor the True Move center at Airport Plaza carry Blackberries. Staff were unfailingly polite and apologetic, and the reply in both was the same, I'll have to go to Bangkok. Maybe next week...

Contact [email protected] for Blackberry Curve and Bold.

They are in Rayong but mostly have Curve in stock. Cheaper than the others.

I paid 19,000 Baht, brand new. Even helped to register Pushmail with AIS.

If they don't have stock it takes not longer than 5 days.

Tried before AIS and True but they never have stock and much more expensive :o

They also shipped to a friend of mine in Bangkok. So don't need to go there.

If you get a BB in Thailand does that mean you have to have a contract with either AIS or True Move to have full use of the functions such as downloading emails etc?
