Hong Kong With Non-imm "b" For Los

Featured Replies

Hey,

i was wondering :o when i leave Los for a weekend to go shopping in Hong-Kong with my Thai gf if this effects the term of my single Non-Imm "B" visa when i come back after the weekend...So, for example....If i enter Los in July for 3 months with my non-imm B and in august i go to HK, how does this effect my other 2 months stay in Los when im back ? Do i lose my non-imm visa then or not, is it still valid for 2 months then when i re-enter Los ???

Im a belgium citizen, so for entering HK there is no problem because i will have a visa on arrival for 90 days, but i was only confused if i get back in Los after that weekend how it effects or shorten my Non-imm B in Los.....anyone who can tell me ???

Thx in advance

When you return to los the visa is no longer useable, It expires after either 90 days of staying in los or when you leave, You should have got multiple entry if you wanted to leave the country and still have valid visa, You will get normal tourist visa on return to los.

hope this helps

I see, that really is stupid you know.

Problem is that you only get a single non-imm B visa from europe these days to start up a business what my plan is in july...once you've set-up the company you can ask extension to a multiple entry in bkk at the embassy.

My plan was to go there in july and do my shopping in HK once the company was set-up and could buy in name of the company for computer supplies, because it's cheaper in HK then BKK they told me.

Now, i don't know how to do this anymore.......:o

Before you leave in August apply for a re-entry permit. That will keep up your original permission to stay and you get the reminder of those 90 days originally granted.

Re-entry permit cvosts Baht 1000 for single or 3800 for multiple. Single should be enough, as you plan to leave only once.

BTW, you do this at the immigration office, there is no Thai embassy inside of Thailand.

Here is a link to the re-entry:

Change at BKK-airport. The counter is now in terminal 1 departure hall, behind check-in counter No. 6.

Personally, I prefer to do it at immigration, but at airport can be done, AFTER you got your boarding pass.

Ok, this is a good and decent anwser to my question........thx :o Axel

:D
