Have a colleague who has a small family of 3 girls, one who is Autistic, desperatly trying to find a live in domestic helper to help his wife.

He has been unable to find anybody in Australia and wondered if I could find one here......

So I found one, no problem, well educated girl, under 30, speaks excellent English and has worked for 4 years as a Kindergarten teacher, (but no formal qualifications, just a degree in Linguistics) So the question is, can you get a Visa for a "Maid" for Australia.

I Wouldnt want to get her hopes to high if we cant get a visa, anybody know???

I think the best thing that your mate could do is to arrange an interview at immigration with the all the information including the prospective employees details and qualifications.

This is a bit out of the ordinary and after looking through the website it doesnt seem to cover this situation.

IMHO he would have a difficult time in trying to bring in an overseas Domestic Helper.
