U.s Visitor Visa Appointment Waiting Time 2 Months!

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I just used the new U.S embassey online appointment website and the earliest appointment available as of today Feb. 15th is for April 24th. Wow! I'm lucky I did it today to get an appointment for my fiance as I am leaving to go back to America for the summer on May 2nd. I hope they don't need any additional information as Pocky will have to do it himself as I won't be able to extend my time here any longer.

I have a question for anyone who has experience with the U.S embassey.

I am a canadian citizen living as a permanent resident in the States for 37 years. My fiance and I have a registered partnership here in thailand and have been exporting Thai clothing, jewelery, handicrafts and furniture for the last 6 years. It started small but has grown to a nice size now with wholesale catalogues, a number of great U.S accounts and my own retail store in Lake Tahoe.

We plan to be married on Feb. 27th this year and then want to apply for him to come to the U.S this summer for three months. We want to have a big party there and want him to meet the rest of my family and see the shop and Lake Tahoe. My mom traveled here this year to meet him, but my father is unable to travel.

Do you think being married, even though I am a Canadian citizen will help us at all with the U.S embassey? If you think it may hurt us then we could postpone the wedding until after I am able to obtain my U.S citizenship. Any help would be great.

I so appreciate this website and all the help it has given me this far.

Thank you!

Christy & Pocky

oh ya, he speaks Thai and English very well, but not completely fluent with large english business vocabulary. Should he interview in Thai or English? :o
