Masking A Torrent Program From My Hotspot Connection

Featured Replies

After a few months of not using my building's wifi hotspot, I again purchased a month's usage. One of the things I never liked about it was that it block my utorrent program from downloading/uploading. Since the hotspot does allow normal downloads from a website, I was wondering if there is a way to mask a torrent program?

It is very difficult to block utorrent. By blocking you mean that UPNP is not on and you don't get your ports forwarded? Or cant you reach the Trackers?

Simply changing utorrent to non-standard ports and turning on encryption could be enough, otherwise time for a VPN but check the conditions of use, some do not permit torrenting over their link.

Boxpn for VPN - cheap and has multiple torrent allowing servers.
