Out on the bike this morning, and still kicking myself for not taking the Nikon. The result from the phone camera this morning is horrendously grainy. 1/278s, f/2.2, ISO 100.

Ah well, maybe next time!!

I assume you download via a micro SD card?

My dear old iPhone 3 is in need of replacement and I'm looking at phones for a pocketable alternative.

Nearly... I used a USB cable. For some reason (no doubt incompetence) I can't get the phone to talk to the laptop wirelessly.

bkk, my favorite hotel near Suvanabhumi.

I don't know why, but that photo's sky makes me dizzy.

Not a double post!

Yesterday's scene revisited.... I took the Nikon with me this morning, and tried to recreate the shot I took on the mobile phone, for comparison.

Much less grain, thank heavens!

Nikon D5200, 18-55mm lens at 22mm. 1/200th f/7.1 ISO 100....with a bit of tickling in Lightroom!

^ As you say a lot cleaner but I like the foreground spread of light on the phone shot. Really adds depth.

Yeah, I agree 100%....Perhaps I should have hung around a while to see if I could have got that effect. Ah well, maybe tomorrow!!

Yes Dancealot she is a farang. I didn't know her, but she got my interest as she was walking on the beach. It was one of those one chance to get the shot times!
