Best Schools For Esol Tutors To Apply To In Pattaya (Or General Thailand)

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Finally got my CELTA qualification here in the UK and have family in Pattaya. The city is very familiar to me as I've been visiting every year for the past 10 years so it's my first choice destination for teaching abroad.

I do of course want a decent salary, but I also want to be treated well, with the opportunity to work/meet with other ex-pats during my time there. Just dreading applying for some scamming shell of a school, and I've read all the horror stories!

First hand experience from anyone would be greatly appreciated, but any advice will be welcomed!

Thanks :)

I have a BA (Hons), a Post Graduate Certificate in Further and Higher Music Education, and a CELTA

Yep, QTS came as part of my Post Grad

You should consider applying to the Regents School then. Do a 'walk-in' with your docs, all suited and booted and ask for an appointment with either 'Nonnie', Head of Primary or Mike Walton, Principal.

They may well put you onto their 'supply teacher' list for covering maternity etc. Once you have an opportunity to show what you can do...........you're likely to be top of their lists for full time when vacancies occur.
