Using Tot Internet With A True Wifi Box

Featured Replies

Hi every one,

I just registered with TOT for 10 Mb connexion for 590 bahts / months.

As I already have 2 old true wifi box, I did not buy the TOT box (router) as I Thought it was a was te of money.

I am still waiting for my line to be opened, but my question is to know if I actually can set up TOT internet with my True box?

Thanks for your help

should not be a problem depending on exactly what kind of box, I set up a True box on a cat line for someone once.

you wil probably need these settings in addition to your user/pass.

ISP:TOT

Encapsulation:PPPoE/LLC

VPI:1

VCI:32

True were at one time using custom firmware in their routers that locked them to True, could be flashed back to stock (mostly).

It really depends how much your time is worth, if I couldn't get it working in an hour I'd go and buy a new router, but that's just me :)

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

It's possible. I tinkered with mine for several days, but eventually, I found out I was doing it wrongly.

I didn't need to do anything special beside changing the username, password, ssid, and choosing a different wep encription from the default ( that was why the wifi connection didn't work initially ).
