I know this is a Teaching in Thailand Forum but I was wondering if anyone had any information about teaching in Laos? I'm planning on moving to Vientiane at the end of term. I've had a look at a few sites and the little bit of information there is varies from, if your a native speaker, look young and can order a Big Mac you'll get a job, to if you haven't got a degree in Education you will struggle to find a job. I personally do not have a B.A. degree but I do have TEFL and CELTA certificates and four years teaching experience.

1. Will this be enough to secure me a decent paying job?

2. Will I be able to get a work permit?

3. Any good schools to work for?

4. Any schools to stay away from?

5. Average starting salary?

Any other information would be gratefully received.
