Nice shot mcfishman,bit confused about the top half though,what happened?

This is one of the weirdest clouds that I have seen so far,seemed like it was a solid 'sheet' of cloud that covered the whole of our area.

It disturbed many of the old folk in our town,and left them talking about bad times heading their way! Must admit,it left me wondering

what it was.......anyone got a name for this kind of cloud covering?
