Tethering

Featured Replies

OK so I can use my galaxy note as a data connection to my laptop. I don't have an unlimited data package. Does anyone know if True will try and charge me for tethering.

How about DTAC do they have the same rules .... Thanks

unlimited (5 GB traffic) is around 900THB monthly with both methods

look here for TRUE

and here for DTAC

fees are the same , meaning smart-phone itself or shared (tethered) doesn't matter.

Also use True on a Baht 899 5Gb package. I have my tablet Bluetooth tethered continuously to my phone while at home. Sometimes I have my laptop connected to the phone's wifi hotspot at the same time. Never had any connection problems.

I guess carriers can tell if you tether another device. I read somewhere that AT&T in the US have additional charges for tethering but thankfully that's not the case here.

Yes the phone networks in the US are far behind consumer friendliness standards in Thailand.

They always try to lock you into something in the US.
