Where Can You Find Very Cheap Old Old Phones?

Featured Replies

where can you find cheap old phones in bangkok?

i need some parts in the phone for my lil project :)

im talking about phones from many years ago that no one wants to buy anymore, the ones that are thrown out. there must be a junkyard perhaps or a scrapyard recycle yard in bangkok? i think any phone would have these parts im looking for that hasn't been completely broken. im looking at couple of hundred baht perhaps per phone. so does anyone know any good place?

or if anyone has any phones lying around that you can't sell or do anything with anymore i'd be glad to buy them at cheap price. PM if your interested

It would be useful to know what parts you're looking for.

Even old mobiles are so heavily integrated and reliant on VLSI and SMT technology that they are way beyond anything a DIYer is likely to be capable of.

go to one of the millions of second hand / pawn shops. it seems, they like these kind of relics. I've seen really old stuff at zeer-rangsit as well.

add-on: you may be lucky in the back of pantip as well

You've got a good point there. Even if you master to find the same chip on a different board, it comes along with a different pin layout so you can't use it, nowadays.

I've got one, but I'm still using it. crazy.gif

Pantip Market might be a good place to start, or second hand markets.

If you are looking for land line phones go to Chutachuk where they have replica phones .

If you are looking for mobiles (cell phones) then why not try the phone shops as when people buy a new phone a lot of them would chuck the old one away or leave it at the shop to dispose of .
