Drug Importers Arrested in Sattahip during a Sting Operation

SATTAHIP:--Two Cambodian women were arrested today, Monday, in one of the area’s largest drug stings of the year, so far.

newsjsThe two weren’t just carrying drugs, they were the king pins of a Cambodian gang who brought Methamphetamines in through the Border checkpoint in Aranyaprathet district, (Sa Kaeo Province) by the thousand, before supplying local Cambodian dealers in Sattahip and Pattaya, who then sold them on, again, to the backstreet dealers and users.

Their operation had been under surveillance for some while as the women brought up thousands of pills in at a time, across the border, and transported them in secret compartments cut into “flip flop” style shoes to avoid detection.
