I have a Thai graduate friend who is thinking of going there for a holiday

He has a good job, degree education etc - will he find it easy to get a visa?

What type of visa is your friend thinking of applying for?

Click on this link, look through the 'tempory visa' section and select the appropriate visa for his situation.

Have a good read through the many other threads relating to Australian visa inquiries in this forum, you should find much of the information you need.

Do your own research first, then come back with any questions you may have.

The 48R form is for applications of 3 and 6 month single entry visas and also a 12 month multi entry visa. If he applies for more than a 3 month visa the first time it will be upto the embassy's discretion on how long a visa he gets.

If he doesnt have someone to provide costs and accommodation for him he will need to have sufficient funds in his bank account to cover his own costs for the time he is here. As well as a letter from his employer giving him time off and ensuring continued employment on his return. He will need to provide sufficient proof of a reason to return in his application.

If he has someone to cover his costs they will need to provide proof of income for at least 6 months prior to the application.

Go to the immigration website and it will provide all the info you will need....as MM said if you have further queries after that, members here can assist...But you will need to be more specific than your original enquiry.
