Availibility Of Zopiclone, Oxazepam And Moclobemide In Thailand

Featured Replies

Like the topic says, i take all of those 3 prescription drugs back home, i know i can carry a supply of 3 months and will check the requirements needed for that straight from embassy, just to be sure.

But that is not what worries me, what worries me is can i buy them in Thailand, dont mind if a doctors appointment is needed. They are not the kind of drugs i can just stop taking and worse case scenario i loose all my stuff, or it's on the otherside of the world courtesy of the airline.

So, can i buy

1) Zopiclone

2) Oxazepam

3) Moclobemid

In thailand.

Thanks for reading.

Zopiclone not available for sure.

That's 30 days, not 3 months.

None of the drugs you are on are available here, no brands registered.

Closest thing to zopiclone available in Thailand is zolpidem (Stilnox , Ambien). only from a hospital pharmacy on prerscription.

A number of other benzos avail though not oxazepam: diazepam, alprazolam, lorazepam etc. Likewise these are controlled drugs, need a prescription, and Thai doctors tend to be very gun shy about prescribing them in other than very small amounts. Though a detailed letter from your doctor will help.

Moclo - not here, some of the older MAOIs are e.g. selegline.

This site explains in detail the regs regarding bringing in psychotropics (see p.3) narcotic.fda.moph.go.th/.../guidance%20for%20travelers%20version...

In addition to the medication issue, be advised that the quality of mental health care here is limited.
