Very windy in Phuket. Time to give the banana trees a bit of support.

With the winds around Samui too, these flowers have now all gone...

A truly magnificent specimen... huge.. and two of the hanging creepers must have taken root long ago since they are as thick as many tree trunks.

I think it is a Bodhi tree with heart shaped leaves .....being outside a temple it probably is.... Ficus religosa... the religious fig tree.... because of its association with the Buddha who attained enlightenment beneath it.

I don't think my banana tree can take much more of this weather:

I like the " bandai " to support the banana tree

I take it you know that plantains are not really trees

I could not believe it today, two huge trees near me were cut down ... I suspect the third will be gone tomorrow....

They appear to be healthy good trees. Probably in someones way (or for the timber).

Unusual tree,  very colourful foliage... never seen before!!  At a gas station somewhere enroute between BKK and Udon Thani!
