Hi everyone I'm new to the forum. I've been trying to get a broadband internet connection at my house for a year, from True. The best i'm getting is 16 download 1 upload. which is frankly not nearly good enough. True says its because my house is too far from the hub (a little over 130 meters). And what i'm getting is the best they can provide. So i wanted to know if there are any other broadband internet providers for Bangkok, who can actually get the job done, or any alternative actions i can take. I'm hoping for around 50 download 5 upload. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to ask around in your Neighborhood which providers are available and then go and see them. That's the easiest thing to do. !

I doubt anyone gets much better than that.

And that is the speed only within Thailand. International speed is much worse.

Most people can only dream of that speed, why do you need 50 MB down / 5 MB up if I may ask?

with a 30/ 3 connection i can select what i want to watch and be watching a 5 gb file in about 30 mins.

Anyone in that much of a hurry to watch a TV programme or film has serious problems. You can always watch it tomorrow. Or indeed never. Neither makes much difference to the great scheme of things.

You only really have one option: move to somewhere that has cable.

It's a complete mystery to me why anyone imagines that the world will stop turning just because they only get Xmbs downloads on their internet.
