Shenanigans Closed

The Shenanigans in Jomtien attracts quite a lot of russians who go there to eat. They don't (as far as I know) have a russian sign anywhere but the Russians still come.

They have menus in Russian though

It will reopen as The Acorn on the first week of April.

There's a lot more but I'll wait until the owners are ready to let the world know.

The owner has many other successful businesses including restaurants and pubs and many other businesses.

Once you understand the brand behind it you'll understand the reason for the name.

For those in the bar and restaurant game you may know who the owner is from the name Acorn.

So is the Acorn going to be a bar, restaurant, or both?

If restaurant, what kind of food will they serve?

If a bar, I know they will serve booze, so not too interesting.

Just talked to an old friend that is one of the partners.

The Shenanigans in the Avenue has been closed but the one in Jomtien is up and flourishing.

The only two expat managers they have had in the Avenue location were named Simon and Tony. Kim was the manager at the old location. Nobody named Pat was ever associated with it that he knew of.

Interesting to know, either i got the name wrong as he spoke "Irish" smile.png, or he was lying
If he spoke Irish, he would have said Padraig and not Pat
.

He possibly made it easy for the non-Irish by saying Pat just as the Thais do with their names.

Like Padraigh Kaiphootmahk or Prasert Flaherty, the Irish entrepreneurs from Udon Thani?

It's all JAFIB, either way.

Both - with western and thai foods

Sounds like it.

For those who havent worked it out, the description has already been used elsewhere on here.

I hope that F isnt a swear word.

What is the problem with explaining what you mean? Is there something to be gained here by being cryptic? coffee1.gif

Agreed, JT.

If it means anything, then simply spell it out.

Thanks. Now I can catch up on the sleep I missed last night.

I know what FUBAR means so no explanation is necessary.

After looking up JAFIB, the commonest answer was Just Another Freakin' Industrial Band. Which made it even more cryptic. OK, I will sleep better tonight too.
