And don't forget to pack plenty of rain coats in your suit case before you come..The ones sold in thailand often dont fit the larger farangs...

Also worth bringing something to keep all the water off you..

You can have mine ... I'm getting the heck out

of here for Songkran :o

You do need to book...Areca Lodge is full on the dates I want... :o

Any other suggestions???

Thanks

The best advice I can offer is to avoid Pattaya at all costs during Songkran. In my opinion, and that of most other farangs I know who are familiar with the town at that time of year, it becomes a living hel_l. A quick water fight is one thing and can be good fun. But being unable to go outside without getting soaked (with water that is often freezing cold) and having wet talcum powder rubbed in your face and eyes gets old really quickly.

Better plan to book one in Singapore or Penang or Angeles City, anywhere but here.

I've heard that Songkran in Pattaya is celebrated longer than the rest of the country. Sooooo.....when would it be safe to make a trip to Pattaya? When does the Songkran "fun" in Pattaya officially end. :o
