Glucophage Xr 500 Or 1000 Mg, Where Can I Buy It?

Featured Replies

I would like to get Glucophage XR (note the XR - extended release) in either 500 mg or 1000 mg. I have been unable to locate any pharmacy or hospital in Chiang Mai who have it in those doses. So far I have found it only at Bumrungrad with the corresponding astronomical price.

Any pharmacies in Bangkok (or elsewhere) sell XR in those doses? I am not interested in regular Glucophage or any generic metformin.

Try Fscainos if you haven't alfrerady:

Changphuak Road, Mueang Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, 50300

(near the University)

If they don't have it (and won't order it for you -- usually they will if you can guarantee buying a large amount) then contact the distributor and ask for names and addresses of pharmacies they have supplied it to in the past year in your area.

The distributior is Zeullig:

Zuellig Pharma Ltd.
8-9/F, Ploenchit Center
2 Sukhumvit Road Kwaeng Klongtoey
Khet Klongtoey
Bangkok 10110
Thailand
Tel: +66 (2) 656 9800

Probably best to have a Thai speaker make the call.

Thanks, Sheryl, I'll check out Fscainos

Boots (Bangkok) seem to be pretty good and will order if they don't have it stock.
