The other day Thailand's dear Prime Minister was sucking up to the Belgians that Thailand is a 'Haven for investment'. These stories of criminals getting off with murder just because they are rich or have famous connections shows the world Thailand is but a corrupt state and 'Haven for Rich Criminals'. Like this post if you have never seen a truer word written :-)

"Don't worry mate.

I

think he will be in for a long hard demanding suspended sentence, and banged up

for at least a couple of nights.

No, no my friend, he has served his time already. He had to sit in the captains office for coffee and 'ka-nom' whilst waiting for daddy.

There is no way he will serve anytime, the deal has already been done - and now there's even a legal precedent with Moo Ham (Mental Disorder). Even though it was a BIB victim, the dirty little syndicate will be happy to receive some extra cash to make sure three's no problem for this ass.

Considering the other rich kid murder topic posted today he has nothing to worry about.

The story about the young lady who wiped out all on board a university minibus has gone very quiet, no doubt being "thoroughly investigated " too. As soon as the story broke, including pictures of her texting at the scene, her mother asked that everyone forget she has a " family name' or in other words don't forget

No, it's not "being" thoroughly investigated. It's all done and wrapped up, and that's why it's gone very quiet.

The under-aged, un-licensed driver whose crash killed people on a van got a suspended sentence, no driving until age 25.

It's a case that certainly set a "good" precedent for what's likely to follow in the Red Bull case.

Probe into Red Bull heir's crash completed

The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Metropolitan Police Area 5 investigators submitted their final report on the hit-and-run case against Vorayuth Yoovidhya, grandson of the Red Bull energy drink founder, to the Southern Bangkok Court's public prosecutor on Monday.

The 27-year-old Vorayuth crashed his Ferrari into on-duty Pol Senior Sgt-Major Wichien Klanprasert and then fled the scene on September 3, 2012.

City police deputy chief Anuchai Lekbumrung insisted that the police had not dragged their feet but were carefully investigating the case within its time frame of six months. He said police did not fear criticism if the end result turns out like that of Kanpitak "Moo Ham" Patchimsawat, who got given a two-year suspended jail term Tuesday for crashing into a group of people waiting at a bus stop and killing one of them.

Am I the only one that finds the words "police" and "dragged" in this context utterly contemptible?

The whole of Thailand is watching ... dry.png

For once can the justice overcome fame and wealth?

Failure, in this case, is not an option.

.

There will be no failure. The kid will get a suspended sentence and a fine.

And now what?

The timeline for this type of thing is how long?

Two years is about right for a case like this to appear before the court. That gives the media and the public enough time to lose interest in it.

What's the bet he is found to have some sort of mental or developmental condition as well....

...such as Bi Polar, OCD, ADD, Aspergers, Autistic, Manic Depressive, Epileptic, Schizophrenic, Tourette's or is mildly retarded.

This kid will walk. He has paid of everyone that needs to be paid of. Just a formality now.

Which kid?

He certainly doesn't look 27 but has a sort of Niki Lauda look about him.

For those who think that the police will come down hard on an individual who has killed one of their own, one only has to look at the Yubumrong case. Chalerm's offspring allegedly killed a police man and all the witnesses (many of them police too) either 'didn't see the crime' or 'couldn't remember' the details. Money is the be all & end all of the BIB.

This is going nowhere. The police and the judicial system are already in concert with the Red Bull family running damage control for well in excess of 30 peices of silver.

Owing to several factors, such as the death of a police officer, the social standing of the culprit and family, the localion of the accident, the perception of alcohol abuse and cocaine abuse, the excessive speed envolved on a city street and the failure to stop and the ensuing pantomime which occured at his residence.

The police and judicial system can not simply let this fade away, however, they are and have been playing for time.

Six months to prepare the case for the prosecution is farcical, The asmilation of all the evidence should have taken less than one month. Alcohol and drug testing takes less than 48 hours on blood samples.

They will play down every avenue they can. I for one doubt if there will be any mention of a positive result for a class 1 narcotic as this is taken slightly more seriously here on occasion, however, driving under the influence of alcohol is treated as a minor offence in this country

It will be interesting to see how these mercenary marionettes play this out as the facts, which are well known, blantly speak for themselves. We live in an envoronment where money talks and justice walks. Just another nail in the coffin of this pathetic country of crooks and hypocrites who think they are smarter than those they are supposed to serve.

The question is, can anyone recall any wealthy Thai ever going to prison for any reasonable amount of time after committing a crime such as this? I think the answer would then form the logical basis for the outcome of this melodrama. From scrawny, geeky looking princeling to PM, it simply doesn't happen here. Prisons are for the poor. Police officer's, prosecutor's and judges bank accounts are for the rich.

Thailand wants to stage an F1 GP. Red Bull and Ferrari two of the most powerful and wealthiest teams in F1.

I would hazard a guess all three parties would like the matter to disappear up it's own exhaust ASAP.

This little tow rag could well pull off one of the great legal escapes.
