My wrangler tj 4.0 litre has hesitent pick up from cold, rough idle and a miss through the exhaust, what could the problem be?. The jeep has been run on lpg mainly long runs 500 kilometers +.

Is there a reliable garage where they can hook up to a test tune machine and do a check.

I live in Pattaya.

Thank you in anticipation.

Difficult to diagnose over the net, but could be burnt valves due to LPG usage, are you using a valve lubricator (oil injector)?

We can move this to the Pattaya forum if you want, for local knowledge, let me know by PM.

Well a miss through the exhaust makes burnt valves a strong possibility.

I forgot to mention...when I had my Cherokee with essentially the same engine I had a problem with the pollution control, which was rough idle, the odd fart through the exhaust and it was a bit sluggish.

Before you ripe the head off do a cylinder leakdown test.
