Massage - Recommendations For Good And (Very) Strong In Bkk

Featured Replies

I go to massage every week, and suffer from chronic muscular pain, fibromayalgia like symptoms, deep muscular pain all over the body. I do have Cervical Spondylosis which is one factor, but also combined with poor sleep, and wide spread pain which accumulates every few days, the most I can go is about a week.

Finding a good strong massage is difficult, can anyone recommend somewhere in Bangkok (the person and there number if possible), and how much they charge (and expected tip if there is one). Thanks.

The best place to get a real therapeutic massage from a well trainer person familiar with common musculoskeletal ailments is at a government Health Center or hospital.

District Hospitals (as opposed to large provincial or tertiary iones in Bkk) are likely to be easiest, or any government HC in the morning (Thais often refer to HCs as "suan animai"),

Otherwise, I'd suggest Health Land, but govt HC/hosp really is best as they have received thorough training and have a lot of experience with people with various medical complaints.

If you want a weekend away from Bangkok, my wife is widely acknowledged by her peers as one of the best at this type of massage. We are 4hrs due north of Bangkok.

Sukhumvit 36, there is a Chinese therapeutic massage place which is very good. Last time it was 400 baht for 40 minutes.
