True Tv Lost Epl Contract - Any Cable Or Sat Companies In Phuket?

Featured Replies

The only reason I kept TRUE TV was they live broadcasts of the English Premier League. Now they lost to the contract to a cable TV provider, they are definitely out of the window. Anyone know of a Phuket cable or satellite company that offers packages including EPL (as well as international news and movies)?

Any advice is appreciated.

I would hold fire before doing anything at the moment, as Cable Thai Holdings (the new concession rights holder for the next 3 seasons) haven't released details of how they intend to distribute it. I believe that they are going to attempt to sell off sub licences to other broadcasters (one of whom might even be True). Watching the matches in HD is excellent, and I'm not sure that a HD broadcast is possible with cable? If it's not, that will be a real bummer.

Probably the most current information is here:

Please remember it's not the EPL, it's the "EPL and Swansea".laugh.png

and next season plus Cardiff.

That has nothing to do with True, but is a hack from Malaysian Astro.

And you never know if they are going to show Astro Supersport 3 or not.

As Pagallim suggested, hold fire on this one. KPP are already selling set top boxes with a wider programme selection and an improved (but not HD) picture and I reckon you'll need one of these in the future to get the EPL on cable. But let's wait and see. Knowing Thailand there will probably be nothing settled until the day before next season's kick-off.
