McEwans.

We've been exporting for many generations....to all over the globe....including Thailand of course.

To be fair, I've never seen Export in Thailand

OCH*, I see your other topic has been closed. I don't distinguish my posts, whether I am in Thailand or elsewhere when I post them. I epect people who are interested to do their homework and track my IP address themselves.

The last time I woke up in the fields " a la belle etoile " , I wasn't , I was in the Old China Hand . I knew I was in the harn because I recognised the dinginess immediatley and so couldn't be next door . I too have been prised from sleep in all four dark corners of The Globe and that's why I am barred .

Could have been worse. You could have woken up on the floor of Bottoms Up.

And,

It is not as if I still do not appreciate it.

Because I do.

I'm off to the pub in a minute.

I'll not be trying to behave myself....I don't believe in moderation....

Who are you actually searching for and why do you care so much as to where they live?

It seems a bit strange to have one topic about people pretending to live in Thailand and the other topic about people pretending not to live in LOS.

What's the reasoning behind this?

Here's a little song whilst you think of a reply wai.gif

Steady, Smokie - you'll get suspended for that...

I only wear the suspenders down the pub on Friday nights.

How did you know about that anyway?

Have you bought my video?

Crisinth,

I agree with you that it does not matter where the poster is from. But it is interesting.

Why people do this, build a false persona?

I do not know.

Here might be two fun examples:

The Fake Steve Jobs blog:

http://www.realdanlyons.com/

(You can see him here giving us the "Wai")

The Stanley Bing blog

http://management.fortune.cnn.com/category/stanley-bing/

(He pretended to be a real life High Level Exec at a Fortune 500!)

Funny as Hell!!!

Please, folks, do not blame me that there are people around here on this internet, and on TV perhaps, who just enjoy being PRETENDERS.

Why they do it? I can't say for sure.

Do I like it? Yes I do. I find it interesting.

Am I a pretender?

I don't think anyone really cares.

But I find the posts on this forum interesting, especially the ones from those not in Thailand, sometimes.

One of the many dangers of the internet, especially anonymous forums, you can be whoever you want.

But to my knowledge, we don't have personas to the level of your examples on here??????

Or do we? Are all those posters really Scottish?...............

Why would anybody lie, and say they are Scottish when they aren't, more likely for somebody Scottish to pretend they are English. Everybody wants to be better than they are.

"Who are you actually searching for and why do you care so much as to where they live?"

Oh, I am not searching for anybody.

But don't you find this site interesting?

And where they live?

I have no interest at all.

The thing is, I don't believe I have come across a site quite like it. The humor is extremely bizarre in some cases, but also I think anyone happening on this site would find it funnier than almost any other, just to read much of the "banter".

But no, I am not searching for anybody.

I think this thread is then redundant

No one can understand what you are trying to ask. And we have enough banter threads on the forum.

This one is now closed. If you feel you have a specific question that I and the others missed making sense of, send me a PM and we will see if anything can be done.

Cheers

D'ye mean better than they , the English ?

To answer your question , Rod Stewart does it , but he is cloaked in mystery and lives in a castle .
