The Indonesian National Police’s counterterrorism unit Densus 88 has launched a manhunt for a man identified only as SI, who is accused of being the maker of bombs allegedly intended for use against the Burmese embassy in Jakarta. The Jakarta Post reports that the 23-year-old suspect is accused of building five bombs that he and two other accomplices planned to plant at the embassy in retaliation for the persecution of the Rohingya Muslim minority in Burma’s Arakan State. The two other suspects, Sefa Riano, 28, and Achmad Taufiq, 29, were apprehended last Thursday.
