Wow..can't beleive how cheap those goong are. Phuket markets similar size would be 3 x the price.

Khun imagauva, where is #28 taken, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market (ตลาดน้ำดำเนินสะดวก). I have never heard of this one.

I think this is a wonderful picture....thumbsup.gif it has so few likes.... I don't understand that??? blink.png.... or did everyone run out of likes for the day! wink.png

A weekend overnighter in the area can make for some great photo opportunities. Besides Damnoen Saduak, you can visit Tha Kha and Amphawa floating markets, Wat Bang Kung, and the famous Mae Klong train market.

On my linked map, you'll find Damnoen Saduak "A", Tha Kha "B", Amphawa "C", Wat Bang Kung "D" and the train market "E".

Tha Kha is my favorite. It is "picturesque", yet feels "down home". It's best in the early morning.

Amphawa is an evening proposition. It doesn't start rolling until around 4 PM. It's a good place to catch the sunset and some dinner.

Damnoen Saduak is the only one open weekdays.

Thanks for the effort of doing that, cheers.

Will those marks on the map stay around for a few months? (Or Do I have to copy them down now?)

Thanks for all the pictures. I enjoyed them. When I get my new laptop I'll be able to contribute. Right now I'm using a borrowed computer.

Not sure. I'd copy them, just in case.

Coffee anyone?

Small road side stall, of main road in Maenam, Samui!
