May 11, 201312 yr hi there I downloaded the free Microsoft Flight for a test flight, impressive ! yet it doesn't allow me going further - a product key it need ! followed FAQ from steamcommunity.com and the marketplace.xbox.com returns an error message : this offer is not valid in your region :-( so no product key ! the xbox.com checks my IP and even I select my home country, no help. 2 QUESTIONS : can I buy Microsoft Flight online somewhere ? or can I buy Microsoft Flight box set somewhere in Bangkok ? thanks . . .
May 26, 201312 yr Hi Microsoft Flight simulator has its last version X, that is already some 6-8 years old. Microsoft has stopped the develoopment of flight simulator and I do not know whether copies are still available in the market. I agree with you that MS flight simulator is a fantastic simulator, I played it intensively and enjoye a lot. I found this link http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/microsoft-flight-simulator-its-back-and-its-free.htm ; as there are a large number of flight enthousiasts that will try to keep the flight sim going. I have some information from a dutch flight sim club http://www.hccflightsimulator.nl/, check it out as those members have sometimes a 2nd hand market and might sell old microsoft software. here is a link to a shop that looks to offer microsoft flight sim fo Euro 45 ??? http://www.pilotshop.nl/contents/en-uk/d142_Microsoft_Flight_Simulator.html hope they did not run out of stock. I hope one of these links will help you further. as it is really a fantastic sim. to play. ard
May 27, 201312 yr Author thanks Ard Microsoft Flight Simulator X indeed a product of 6 years old. I actually look for the Microsoft Flight for my Thai nephew, an easier entry point than the Microsoft Flight Simulator X ( for enthusiasts ). well, both not available in Bangkok. Microsoft Flight is an online product, yet at some point I need a product code :- ( I also tried X-Plan, a more up-to-date flight sim, very impressive but very technical. I could buy it online but the shipping is ridiculously high. both Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane are DVD based, no soft copy available.

I am not sure if you can get a more local version, but, I just ordered it from Amazon in the US (fortunately for me, free shipping to a friend in the US who is coming to Thailand in 2 weeks).
August 6, 201312 yr Flight is not Flight X. It is a version that is simplified and integrated with Xbox360 live and is a pc game for it It is now discontinued but has about 12 aircraft available and scenery and missions in hawaii and alaska. You can play it f you buy it with a us card and sign up for a microsoft live ID which will need a new email address and someone to sign you up in the US. Having done this you then either continue to use a US ccard for purchases or purchase the points using one and buy the add ons with that. I believe shops there can also sell points cards. Not as genuine as the FLightX but still realistic visual flying with interesting challenges.

Microsoft Flight Stimulator X ( FSX ) could be ordered and downloaded online. Microsoft Flight Stimulator GOLD ( additional aircrafts, airports or missions ) is a DVD-based product, still available in US. Microsoft FLIGHT ( discontinued 2011 ) is a newer version and is free-to-play, yet adding aircrafts and missions, you need an US IP-address. I tried from Bangkok then rejected. X-Plane is far too complicated !
