Hello, we are coming over mid-august and our 8yo daughter is due to start at SCL in September ( year 4). Just wondering if there were any other parents on here to say hi to ( and more than likely bug with tons of annoying school related questions!!)

Bangkok has international schools, while many upcountry cities do not. Meaning, no schools using English as the language of instruction.

So does your daughter speak Thai..?? Do you speak English at home..??

I have 2 daughters in Catholic school, which teaches English as a side subject at all levels - extra classes in English are available.

My daughters speak tinglish between and Thai to most, but a visiting cousin was able to get along using English as the common medium.

We speak Thai at home, but all my daughters DVDs are in English.

They are coming over to Samui as mentioned in the OP's post. Also yes we do have English Tuition schools on Samui.
