McIlroy playing with Woods and Scott for the first 2 rounds.

Personally I hope Scott wins another major. Although my early thoughts are that Graeme McDowell would be a good bet.

Love the "wicker baskets".

An excellent article: http://www.usopen.com/en_US/news/articles/2013-06-09/201306091370801882775.html

Long range weather forecast looks OK now, after some rain today.

HD coverage on Fox Sports Plus (CH. 152 on TrueVisions), and other SD channels, starting Thursday evening (THL) at 20:00.

Handicapping this one is tough given that driving distance and accuracy may not be that important - figuring 3 woods and two irons will get a lot of use off the tee? Maybe whoever plays the three very long par 3's (#3, #9, #17) best will win. The short par 3, can be set up at 99 - 115 yards, on #13 should be interesting. A tiny green to hit.

I can't wait to see this course as I've heard, and read, a lot about it over the years. I vaguely remember 1971 (Lee Trevino), but not 1981. Not a lot of room for spectators, so it is a hot ticket.

Awkward sticking Steve W. in the same group as Tiger, but better than Sergio I guess. The long putters are ruling now so maybe someone from that camp?
