Just got back from the Hospital where my little boy has undergone major spinal surgery. Lost his left side for a while but the feeling seems to be coming back......I'm about to have a large one

I feel your pain bro, my second son underwent open heart surgery (arterial switch) at six weeks old. Never felt so useless in my life, thank God for Great Ormond Street. My thoughts are with you all at this time.

After eight hours under the knife and a bit of a slip on his spinal cord he has just come off transfusion and is on the mend. Feeling coming back in his legs and he is being cheeky to his mother. All is good. ( Bushmills 16 year old, works wonders after 27 hours at the bedside ).

Cheers for the kind thoughts; brave little boy has not stopped smiling.

OUT of danger now and motor functions returning. Spinal cord breach at T3 and L1 but tough boy seems to be on the mend. He is autistic so all a litle traumatic as he does not know what is happening to himself, but he is very brave.
