Hi, I,ve just spent 8 days in and around Chanthaburi , stayed in Chao Lao for base , I really like the area , at present in Chiang Mai the last year and 10 years on Phuket ., smog in Cm getting to me .Phuket's a mess .

I am looking to move to the area , Chao Lao , Wimin , Laem Sing , early next year, or near to the town , did some mooching around properties , trouble is , no agents , no ads to be seen ......lots of pleasant looking empty houses though , no doubt this area is a second home spot .

My Thai reasonable enough for most daily , not exactly conversational though , and no partner , I am 63.

I would like to be in contacts with some expats living there , for some advice and maybe info how to get a place ( 6-12) months plus .

Like to swim and maybe resume my interest in cycling , loved the cycle lanes , wide roads , empty beaches , and ostensibly friendly people .
