i need to get a Thai driver's license since I do not have an American one. Has anyone done this in Koh Phangan? Where do I go and how is the test? I am on a tourist visa but I have rented a house here for 6 months, is there some way I can get a license without the Non-Imm visa? Thanks for any advice.

I don't think without non immigrant visa it will be possible, sure not on Phangan. On Samui need doc cert and letter from immigration and then to transport office (near Racha ferry pier). Take a written test, eye test and reaction test as well as driving test (total 5-6 hours).
