This is regarding clinical therapeutic massage, NOT amateur girls/women caressing and stroking your body. If anyone requires a highly professional clinical massage for back pain, leg pain, muscle spasms etc, I highly recommend this place. I have now completed a four week course and feel much much better, can move more freely and hardly any pain. If you have the two hours therapeutic massage with a hot herbal compress you can feel the effects almost immediately. However the best part is the Head Specialist assesses you first by feeling your body and establishing where you have pains etc. He then instructs the masseur where to concentrate on and where to manipulate etc. Once you have finished the two hour massage you are then inspected again by the Doctor to see the improvement and where to concentrate on at your next appointment. post-81186-13723913097519_thumb.jpgpost-81186-1372391426192_thumb.jpg

The two hour massage was 500 baht, the Doctor's fee was 200 baht and the herbal massage balls were 100 baht. They give you back the massage balls at the end so you can bring them next time. They will last for 3 treatments/sessions. The Head Doctor works on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Yannawa.

This sounds pretty interesting. For certain reasons I won't go into, it may be of great help to me. Any idea if they have a similar treatment in Pattaya? No probs if you don't, I'll think about taking atrip up to Bkk and talk to them. Much appreciate the info.

They only have the two branches which are both in Bangers. The male Doctor has "healing hands", he has patients queing for ages to see him.

The excellent massages i have had i end up calling the therapist: doctor, it can be THAT good if not better.

You may have to pay for better (500 for 2 hours is not bad!) but i can also say that good ones can be found at cheaper shops too. Luck of the draw?

Can someone give directions, is one branch closer to the BTS? Probably will go to the Sathorn branch.

Saphan Taksin BTS is 100m away. Once you come down the escalaltor, carry on forward for 30m until you reach the main road Charoen Krung (opposite direction to the river). Turn right and you will see the big temple "Wat Yannawa", the clinic is attached to the Wat.

ah yes i know where that is, thanks.

I'm going to pop by there tomorrow evening, will try to call and make an appointment with the doctor, any recommendations on which person is good? If booking over the phone do I refer to the doctor as 'ajarn', I can speak Thai but don't know if I should ask by specific name. I always have it as strong as possible, conditions: fibromyalgia, cervical spondylosis, lower lumbar and sciatica legs issues.

Do they have a membership or coupons, something like that?

I suggest you ring and book an appointment, they are very busy. No membership or coupons as far as I know. All the practitioners are good, let them suggest one for you.

This is an old thread. Have any members had recent experience with this place.

I will be going to BKK in the next couple months and I would like to try it for a back problem.

I still go once a week and it is still superb. Thai body massage for 1 x hour now costs 350 baht.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. wai.gif
