99% of Thai women lack money, but 95% of Thai men lack money as well.

.

Not. Even. Close.

In your ridiculously oversimplified and uninformed breakdown, you've left out the millions and millions of Thais who have as much money or (much) more than the average Farang in Thailand.

Even if one spends all the time in tourist areas and with bargirls et al, one should still be aware of that - but some people (more than a few) get to the point where they literally forget about the rest of the Thais whom they have little or no contact with.

Why don't you share your informed data? haven't seen it (maybe it's coded?)

Unfortunately for you, I always do my homework, and my knowledge is quite substantial.

Please enlighten us with the wealth of the Thai man, who make on average 1/6 of what people in my country make, and 1/9 of the average American.

I read the Stickman article contained within Berkshire's post....

I get genuinely astounded by people who think that's newsworthy. I had a pal recently ( one of those Thaier than Than types ) who puffed himself up, sucked his teeth, and readied me for an announcement.

The tension of the moment, I'll never forget it, it was the longest three seconds of my life. I could hear the world go quiet, silence in Thailand, a unique thing. Tuk Tuk drivers gathered round, the TV and Radio shows interrupted their shows to broadcast this proclamation live.

I could feel beads of sweat forming and pouring oh so gently down my forehead, ladies in the newly formed crowd rushed forward and fanned me, sponging me down as they knew the pressure of the occasion was getting to me . A pack of three hundred Soi dogs appeared from nowhere as they are in charge of rapid communications, everyone knows that if every dog in the street knows it, it must be true.

All that in three seconds......I looked at my pal, who was going a bit blue as he hadn't taken a breath for a while, then..........he said it..........

" The Thais .... .... .. .... "

<deleted> You don't say coffee1.gif

The only bright side was one of those Dog Factory trucks was passing so now we're able to walk the streets without being attacked by swivel eyed mange carriers.

There's always a bright side. coffee1.gifcoffee1.gif

Was there a punchline in there somewhere? Nevermind Blether, I get you (not really).

^^ The punchline is that some guys here think they have an insight into Thailand that's exclusive to them, in their Zen Master like wisdom. What do you think he said? Don't strain yourself though, it's not worth it smile.png

You're right, of course. Opinions are like a-holes--everybody's got one. But some generalizations are more accurate than others, wouldn't you agree? For instance, are you in the camp that think all Thai women want farangs and want nothing to do with Thai men? Or do you think the sentiments from that Stickman article offers a better explanation of the farang/Thai social scene? I tend to think the latter. But I'm sure you'll say it's somewhere in between...which would be somewhat of a wussy answer.

i think. and again this is just my opinion,

if a thai lady wants to be with a falang and it betters her life,

i for one cant see the problem there,

there are people all over the world that marry people who some would say are of a better class,(not me)

i can remember prince andrew going out with koo stark , i think that was her name, ex porn star,

its takes all kinds,

if some thai lady, girl what ever some want to call them want to marry a falang and make a better life then good on them,

i for one am very glad my wife thinks like that,

jake,

just read through the lines, youll get my jist, you no im not good at trying to write down what i mean

I think the Stickman article got it just about right with a couple of provisos, one being that it was a disguised ( barely ) racist rant by the Thai OP.

I do believe there's an age equivalence thing going on here, and the notion that some hot young Thai women don't find young Westerners hot and desirable is just bs.

To that extent, the OP in the Stickman article doth protest too much.

This is from Stickman's article:

"

List #1: Typical Thai women with farangs in Thailand

(has 1 or more of these characteristics)

1. Poor with little to no prospects.

2. Below average level of education.

3. Single mothers.

4. Have had their heart’s broken by a Thai guy.

5. Unattractive, or at least below average in appearance.

6. From the impoverished areas of the northeast

"

This list, accurate or not, covers at least 80% of the women in Thailand.

So basically he is saying that 80% of the women are eligible to be with or marry a farang.

Now I have been with two Thai women who did not posses any of these characteristics (of course the looks part is subjective), but still wanted a farang man for some reason. And I'm particularly young or attractive..

"to be with a foreigner with whom she can barely communicate, or a Thai with whom she can communicate perfectly" : if their two choices are her only ones, then in most cases the latter. However, if you introduce a choice of a foreigner with whom she can communicate perfectly and has any number of things in common with and who has whatever other fine qualities over a lack of a Thai man like that (not that he doesn't exist but she hasn't met him)...

What if the choice was aged millionaire foreigner who would provide her and her entire family an existence of unparalleled luxury but no Thai language skills Vs young Thai m/c taxi driver.

Anyway the obvious answer is marry the foreigner and shag the taxi driver when and if.

Why choose one when you can have both. This is the Thai way.

Most motor bike taxi drivers are alcoholic messes so Thai women avoid them anyway.

It don't matter what the shorts cost, unless you are exercising, or on the beach, or at home, men wearing shorts is a big no-no.

+1

We don't always agree ... but on this matter ... thumbsup.gif

Apparently, they cut us a bit of slack if it's stinking hot, because they know we really feel the heat ... but long pants it is.

Never had a shortage of women coming on to me, only wear long trousers or shorts to wedding, funerals , immigration and the occasional night out when required.

What kind of guys Thai gal love most?

Those who speak Thai and have been raised within Thai culture. ie, Thais.

Unless they've a family (financial) burden to bear and need to find someone who's gullible and has money. ie, farangs who'll dive straight in and give them a monthly salary, and pension with health care for the parents.

A lot of jaded, cynic people on this forum. Maybe need to move away from the girlie bars and meet "normal" people?

Ease up chief, remember where this thread is posted...

Thai women, like every woman, prefer the handsome rich blind deaf and mute male... He's a very rare species..

But when found... The poor bastard is never seen nor heard from again :P

there is some <deleted> talked on here,,!!

i know a man thats having this done to him,

i know a man thats having that done to him,,

yes we know it goes on,,

but i can sit here and say i know loads of couple that are very happy,

old with young,

old with not so young,

young with young,

rich with young

rich with old,

the list could go on,

this was a thred just to get were it is, lets pull thai ladys down, and the old rich fools that marry them,

i dont know were some of you get off,

you come here for a couple of holidays and thats it,

ive heard of a great site called thai visa,

you can go on there and pull thai girls to bits,

some times you get get a thred past the troll stage,

<deleted>,

does it really matter, in the grand skeam of things who wants to be with who,

rich or poor,

as long as they are happy with what they have,

some old chaps might even know that there girl is f@@king the thai taxi driver, but might be just happy that she cares for him when she is at home,

i work away in the oil gas and power industry, and i would trust my thai wife more then i would of ever trusted my ex wife in the uk,

there are some beautiful trustworthy ladys in thailand,

but in my opinion you wont find many in the tourist areas, not saying you wont faind any,

these are just my thoughts, sorry ive gone on,

jake

Fair call I guess.

But i sometimes get annoyed at how Thais are perceived on this forum. Not all are money-grabbing, buffalo-seeking, farang-cheating floozies.

Not all, but farangs have a knack for finding them and with amazing regularity.

Jake,

Just relax mate, take what is said in this particular thread with an overdose of salt.

Hearing about a feel good story, is akin to watching a romantic comedy, only good to see with the missus.

The typical story we hear (like an iPod on repeat all, but shuffled so we get something 'new' each time) is like a black comedy, funny to hear about but you know it's wrong to laugh at others misfortunes.

It's all just a bit of shits'n'giggles...
