hardly berserk, childish and stupid maybe, but berserk.........

Hurling insults and throwing food on police cars and driving out into the street over barriers at the police station? By definition it's berserk.

Adjective
  1. (of a person or animal) Out of control with anger or excitement; wild or frenzied: "after she left him, he went berserk".
  2. (of a mechanical device or system) Operating in a wild or erratic way; out of control.

Happy this xxxxx got caught on camera. Despicable behavior for a judge, both parking how she did, and the aftermath.

Thainess example promoted by a high member of the Thai justice system. Simply amazing Thailand, just hate to see her in court with a Farang case that does not suit her.

Unlike in, to pick a country at random, Britain, where it's totally unknown for a senior government minister to scream at police who block his way, saying 'Know your <deleted> place, you pleb'. That would never happen, would it - high-status people throwing their weight around is clearly a uniquely Thai kind of social pathology.

Unfortunately for your argument the British example you cite has been demonstrated to be a pack of lies by the police.Several police officers have been questioned and charged.

As to The thread subject matter nobody says this kind of behaviour is unique, simply very commonly observed in Thailand

Us foreigners here know what this is all about and many have already identified the attitude of "do you know who I am" and "I am the law". 3rd world power mentality. And, it's why most of us realists are very honest about things REALLY work here once you peel back the thin veneer of modernity.

Rule of man over the rule of law.

At its foundation, a totally corrupted society.

These days, hurling Thai rice at someone or their car could well be considered assault with a deadly weapon...

Or at least, that's what the Thai rumor mill is saying.... tongue.png

considering what is being found in Thai rice lately could we even suggest that it could be classed as a chemical weapon or a weapon of mass destruction according to the rumour mill...whistling.gif

A Thai being criticized by their perceived inferiors. The petty, childish, embarrassing reaction is never a pretty sight. Though it does highlight their true nature for those foreigners who may not be aware of Thai culture and society.

The reaction would be the same for almost any Thai that is criticized by someone they see as lower than them. (remember that you are lower than all of them)

Lucky she didn't have a samurai sword in the boot. whistling.gif

cheesy.gif Judging from the stuff I read in this forum it is rather hypocritical to speak negatively about Thais having a social casting culture. The general mentality here certainly implies that many individual members consider themselves to be superior to the entire population of a nation.

If anyone considered the news that is put up on here every day, would anyone in their right mind think otherwise?

nb: My lame rice jokes are wearing thin now.

Umm let me see, what would I immediately arrest her for and charge her with?

Criminal Damage, Fail to stop after collision, Fail to exchange names and addresses, Fail to report, Conduct endangering person, careless driving and throw in a littering and interfere with motor vehicle, possibly using threatening words an unlawful assault.

When I watch this video, I think it is a great look at the Thai class system.

Yes, fans of Animal Farm, the system where one group of people is better than another group of people. This is easily seen if you were to insert a farang into this situation and have him behave the same way. The police would certainly not be standing around in awe, and would probably be blasting the car with gun fire as the barricades were being destroyed....

I've watched the video, she is very angry but by no means frenzied. As for her driving, well considering she was pushing barriers most of the time she didn't do that bad a job. However I agree her behaviour was despicable in that she obviously feels she is above the law. She was childish, arrogant, selfish and stupid and I hope she is punished for her behaviour. However I still don't see berserk.

I have always admired the grace and gentle nature of Thai women. The way they can maintain their dignity despite anything that the world throws at them. Farangs really can learn a thing or 2 from these fair ladies.

I am sure TS will be using this to boost his claims of political charges.

When you have a judge running around with a Thai Patriots Network tshirt and behaving as she is, i am sure on the global level it gives credence to his explanation of political persecution.

At best you would say this was an extremely ill judged and timed rant. Other people will say it shows how the judiciary is also questionable.

In any developed country, or any country with true aspirations of ever being a developed country, any public figure (particularly one representing the judiciary and thereby being in a position to hold people accountable to the law) who acted with such utter contempt of the law, would be seriously penalized, up to and including being removed from the bench.

Imagine if a judge in the US illegally parked their car (for whatever reason) and then pulled a "Do you know who I am?" rant with the PD and committed acts of vandalism (throwing food on a police car and driving through barricades) because they impounded the car.

How long do you suppose a judge who acted that way would be on the bench?

The all powerful "face" is very closely related to respect. Someday, I hope that people like this realize that you need to be worthy of respect if you expect to receive it.

hahaha...what a nutcase and she is a judge? - "the I am above the law" attitude she displays is just disgusting.

Why was she not arrested? Not only does she need a humiliating experience - but she was endangering others by pushing the steel barrier out onto a main road which could have easily caused an accident.

Why are the Thai police such cowards?

This video shows everything that is wrong in Thailand!

"I am connected and above the law and get away with anything"

If this would have been a regular "Somchai" she would have ended up in jail.

They are all watching her and walk away - a little smack over the head and a pair of handcuffs would have tought her a lesson!

So much for the independence of the judiciary!

"A yellow shirt judge" ??? not only causing a traffic jam - but "vented her anger"at the police station hurling abuse at officers before she threw an omelette and rice dish at the car of Police Lieutenant General Khamronnawit Thupkrachang in protest over the arrest of a soldier who tried to stop the PM from entering the Ministry of Defence.

Not sure if she should still be allowed to "judge" other people - she seems to have made up her mind as to who is "right or wrong"??

Do these idiots not realize that it is them and their stupid "I am untouchable" attitude" - who are fuelling the Red shirt movement - they are supposedly opposing??
