The times I've been through Swampy I've changed currency at the counter between immigration & bag collection. Recently I've been told that counter is gone & the exchange has to be done in the 'public' area.

Could anyone confirm if this is correct?

Thanks.

When I went through recently they were still all there.

Crappy exchange rate though, 2.5 Baht/Euro (almost 7% at the time) less then the official rate if I'm not mistaken. And they have a big sign saying that the boots from the different banks will have the exact same rate! At least they save you the hassle of shopping around to check the rates :)

So don't change more then absolutely needed.

Thanks for that to both. That rate is still far better than changing it in AU - average is over 5B per 1AUD difference.
