cooL_guY_corY Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Hey where do you people store chanotes ? I was thinking a safe deposit box at a bank would be the best idea.. any suggestions / anyone know what rates are like for a safe deposit box at the bank ? my place is in khon kaen
Boo Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Not sure about Thailand but in the UK the banks charge you 1 pound a year to store the deeds to your house when you live mortgage free otherwise you have to have a fire proof safe sunk into the ground in your house!. Go around the banks in KK city & ask around. I would think they have a similar service?
Morden Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Yes, a fire-proof safe is better than a bank. Call me suspicious but I don't leave anything of value with banks, not even money! A friend of mine once learnt the folly of putting title to his assets with the bank from which he took a loan. When everything went wotsits up, they took everything - and the UK Courts had to support them in doing so. You can keep all of your goodies in a safe and no-one has to produce papers to get to them - not even if you pop your clogs unexpectedly.
