Has anyone done it? Does anyone know an importer who could help with clearing customs and issuing the paperwork to allow for registration?

Good luck Posted Image . What are you thinking of bringing in ?. Posted Image

Not a question of luck, it's about money.

It can be done. Use a shipping agent as they normally have insiders working within customs and a deal can be brokered on an impending shipment.

I call it going with the system.

Contact Gavin (owner) at Euro Auto Breakers & engineering (google the company name, they are the Thailand EBC brakes distributor), he brings in a lot of motors for his and his friends race cars, albeit from the UK but he imports none the less and will know the deal with the whole experience.

Have a read about the Chevy ZZ383 small block. 425 hp out the box with hedders. We brought one into the UK, It is not a rebuild, brand new 4 inch bore block with fast burn alloy heads. I was really impressed with it. Food for thought. smile.png

Well in that case, I suggest the OP Google's for:

ThaiAmericanCarClub

MuscleCarThailand

Which are the two *evil* links I posted earlier...

Got in contact with Gavin and sent off an email explaining my plans (hopes) I'll let you all know how it goes for future reference.

Well, This is a reply I recieved from one Customs Broker.

Hi Derek,
I had just emailed to Gregor which kindly refer following details:
Qte

Hi Gregor,
Tks for your information and recommendation.
To import car parts and re-built in Thailand is recently "banned" to registration into 'blue book'

There was many exotic cars built in Thailand are now seriously checking by concerned government agencies.
Almost all of them were scandal imported same as Mr.Derek's thinking idea.

Now, it is impossible to do so unless you have owned a standard of re-built/assembly car factory.
And the import engine/gear/parts to be new (not of re-conditioned used one)
At the current situation, it is no chance to do so.

I believed Mr.Derek may knew from newspaper report of the incident which is big news.

Best regards,
Vuddy

Unqte
PS. If you have the re-built factory as above, then I can help you on all customs concern and registration for blue book.

See how those F*%#*NG RRRSOLES with thier Lamboes and Ferrari's stuff it up for everone else

So where to from here? Still waiting to hear back from a couple of others, should be interesting to hear what they say.

Wlii keep the info comming for anyone interested.
