Good doctor for gout in Pattaya

Featured Replies

any recomendation for a good gout doctor in Pattaya anyone ,i cant take allupirnol i know as its messes up my kidneys.

If you are suffering an acute attack of gout then one of the non-steroidal anti inflammatory medications is the way to go !

Something like ibuprofen would be a good choice if you have no contra-indications -(Asthma or "stomach" problems).

Most GP's or General Physicians will be able to advise you further.

While in the West any GP would be experienced in management of gout I find that in Thailand the quality of GPs is often sub-par and the best docs tend to be specialists (not that all GPs are poor, but it is often the case)

Therefore I recommend you see a rheumatologist.

This one at Pattaya International Hospital looks well qualified (I have no specific feedback on him)

Full Name: DR. SUKIT CHITRABAMRUNG

Education:
- MD.
- BOARD OF INTERNAL MEDICINE.
- BOARD OF RHEUMATOLOGY.

Work Experience:
CONSULTANT RHEUMATOLOGY :
- BAMRUNGRAJ MEDICAL CENTER.
- BANGKOK CHRISTIAN HOSPITAL.
- PATRA POLY CLINIC.
TRAINING FELLOW SHIP :
- ALLERGY AND CLINIC IMMUNOLOGY.
- NATIONAL JEWISH HOSPITAL. DENVER, COLORADO.
- RHEUMATOLOGY.
- UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER, DENVER, COLORADO.

Specialization:
CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY AND RHEUMATOLOGY MEDICINE, RAMATHIBODI
HOSPITAL, MAHIDOL UNIVERSITY.
