Hi my work permit and visa will expire by tomorrow..what am i gonna do? Should i get 24 hours before i can leave thailand? Or can i just go to cambodia tomorrow for a 15 day extension? Should i need a cancellation letter and present it tomorrow in the immigration? Please help me.thank you

If your WP expires, you don't need to do anything regarding the labour department. If you should do anything regarding immirgation depends on your situation.

If you are on a 90 day visa entry and not on an extension of stay, you have to do nothing and can stay until the 90 days are over. (If a valif multiple entry visa, you can even re-enter Thailand for a new 90 days).

If you are on an extension of stay absed on employement, you need to visit immirgation with a letter from your employer stating the last day of employement and cancel your permission to stay. You than can apply for an extra 7 days of stay for 1,900 baht or leave the country and make a border run for another 15 days.

Since tomorrow will be my last day i bet i am on an extension...so i have to go to the immigration and present a cancellation letter from my employer that tomorrow will be my last day and then i can apply for a 7 day extension....right?

You are on an extension if you went to an immigration office in Thailand and they allowed you to stay longer in Thailand than the stamp you got at the border.

If your permission to stay also ends tomorrow there is no need to go to immigration and could just go to the border for a border run. But if you go to immirgation, you can indeed get an extra 7 days for 1,900 baht.

You must leave the same day your employement ends.

Look in your passport and to see what your permit to stay date is.

I assume you are longer working. When did you stop working? This is an important date because your extension ended then.

Yes.my visa and work permit will expire tomorrow..so it means that i can leave the country tomorrow without getting cancellation letter from my old employer and going to the immogration..

Tomorrow will be my last day...same with my wp..

Just make a border run and get another 15 days.

Once you have a new job and work permit application you will need to get the visa at an embassy or consulate.

But you can, and must, apply for the work eprmit first on your 15 days, so you can get a wp3 receipt and show you have already aplied for a WP. (You won't get the WP itself till you have a non-B visa).
