August 23, 201312 yr In order to get married my fiancée has to take her ID and household registration card with her to the amphour with me. I know little about the household registration book situation She rents a room in hua hin, is she supposed to have been issued a blue book when she started to rent the place?
August 24, 201312 yr In all likelihood she is registered in the house book (blue tabien bahn) of her family home, wherever that may be. A copy of the tabien bahn should be enough, no need for the original. Sophon
August 25, 201312 yr Most landlords in Thailand will not allow tenants to get into a household book on their property and it needs the owner's consent. Most Thais are registered at a family home, where they may have never lived, which makes the system rather pointless as the blue book is supposed to be proof of address.
