In the normal world 'Asset Declarations' are a means to combat graft.

Here in Thailand they are an oportunity to loose face by not scoring high enough in the rich league, and as such a good reason for more graft to get higher up the league.

What happened to Mr moneybags Plodprasop? Is he not in the cabinet anymore?

The formerly richest Cabinet Minister Plodprasop remains in the Cabinet as Deputy Prime Minister.

Unfortunately, there are 35 cabinet ministers and the articles don't detail the assets of each.

It'd be interesting to see if he broke into the one billion baht range since he was so close before at 985 Million Baht.

However, with Thaksin's personal spokesman worth being over Three Billion Baht, he's got a lot of ground to make up to regain his title as Richest Cabinet Minister.

A post in violation of fair use policy has been removed. It is generally accepted, but not written into law, that quoting the first two or three sentences of an article and giving a link to the source is considered “fair use” and not a violation of copyright.

The least wealthy minister is Deputy Transport Minister Pong Chivanand having only Bt1.61 million in assets

Well qualifed to become the finance minster then in the next cabinet re-shuffle...

Yes, that would certainly see the number rising...!
