Do you get on well with Thai People?
Yeah. I was eating just now so didn't want to type much but nearly all my neighbours seem to work every day. They all get up between 5-7, work all day, come home, get pissed (or not) then go to bed early. They have a lot of drinking sessions and years ago, I'd have walked in there with a bottle but being a reformed alcoholic means that I don't want to and basically can't hang around with drinkers. -

Remembering the 2004 tsunami in Phuket
I still remember that year. For the Christmas holiday I was either going to go to Phuket or go and visit my father for a few weeks. For some reason, I decided to go visit my father. And that's probably the only reason I'm alive today. The hotel I usually stay at, The Tropica Bungalow, was more or less wiped off the face of the earth that day, -

Do you get on well with Thai People?
Agree.....Pattaya/BKK, entertaining for a while, but then they start to weigh you down. Trying to strike a nice balance is the trick.......we visit BKK three or four times a year and I spend two or three months back in the UK. spring/summer Isaan does my head in after a week.- 1
