Avira

Need some advice from you guys

I am running Avira on my laptop which has been great in the past

never had any problems but in the past few days I am getting

a message telling me that I have a virus or unwanted program

every time I visit a website based in Perth WA. This website

is a news and current affairs website. PerthNow.com.au

The message I am getting from Avira mentioned the name

html/expkit.gen3 any ideas how to stop from getting it

every time I visit the mentioned website?

I am not a computer guru so be gentle with me

Any help would be appreciated

You should email the website administrator and report your findings, I'm sure they'd be most interested if their site has been hijacked.

I use Avira.

Have no problem connecting to http://www.perthnow.com.au/ but a Google of - html/expkit.gen3 - says its a Trojan/virus.

Could be a pop-up trying to load.

Have you run any antispyware programs like Spy Bot or Malwarebytes or Superantispyware?

What do you do when Avira flags the html/expkit.gen3 - Delete it and run a scan?

Do you get daily Avira updates?

You are not quoting which avira product you are using.

I have installed Antivirus Premium 2013 and when I go to perthnow.com.au there is NO warning.

If you are sure you have got the latest updates maybe you can go to avira support http://www.avira.com/en/support-for-home and ask them why the program gives a warning for this site
