I think you may be a bit confused on this breakfast mixture, malt is made from sprouted barley, you don't actually use barley unless you want to produce your own malt. yeast and hops combine to make a most nourishing breakfast.

Thank you for the clarification. I'm a total newbie/rookie to the art of making homemade cereals, but with the cost of cereal continually going up, I figured I could make my own and it would be a nice hobby to indulge in. None-the-less, do you know where I could acquire the grain necessary to concoct a delicious cereal of my own here in chiang mai?

I buy oats at supermarkets and add to shop- bought muesli to 'water down' sweetness.

Add pineapple, watermelon, passionfruit and plain unsweetened yoghurt ....

Works for me - but oats twice the price here compared to the west. Unless some other TV member has found a cheap source?

I have been eating oats as a porridge for years in BK.

Oats vary in price - "Hahne" German import sells for 45 to 47B per 500g - small and big leaf options.

Organic Suppliers sell for less but long way to go to buy in BK.

Wide range of Health Food Options including excellent organic brown/white rice on Nawamin Road Sois 44 to 46.

Have now started mixing a variation of raw oats with a multi fruit ready mixed bought muesli - "Delight" - a Big C Thai supply

brand plus "Heritage" Thai Brand Green Raisins/cashew nuts/cranberry/sliced almonds etc as choice.

Much better then the imported breakfast cereals which are all sugar rich.

I then add 6/7 spoons of the mixed raw muesli to the cooked porridge, plus, a splash of virgin coconut oil and OTOP Honey

Very nutritious.

the hidden sugar content.I would suggest seeing you are a newbie to go buy local red organic rice.

That has a higher nutritional value than any of the fancy mueslies

You can buy local organic sweeteners in local markets plus all the organic fruit you want

vine farms is a good local source of organic food delivered to your door

I am confused you asked about organic cereal and most talk about ll kindsd of grain as if they are organic and you would be hard pressed to find them non organic.

Are all grains organic?
