Bangkok hospital samui

Featured Replies

I have never experienced such medical service like here in Bangkok hospital samui. First of all a girl at the reception was nervous and wrote down the nationality wrong even she saw the passport of my husband (stupid). And talked as if my husband (he was a patient) did smth to her. Second the doctor prescribed him antibiotics against some urological problem however he didn't see the results of analyses. I'm not a doctor but I know that you cannot prescribe such heavy medicals like antibiotics just like that. The doctor even wasn't sure that antibiotics will work for him. I 'd like to add that those medicals were much more expensive than in pharmacys. Is it a business of all thai hospitals? So I guess all doctors in this hospital are not interested in patients treatment and interested only in their money.

Ok, he took antibiotics for several days and went for follow up appointment to the doctor. You know what - the doctor tried to push the same med to him !!!! There is no sense in it! They took 3 000 THB for physical examination - just for simple weight and height check, blood pressure. Who asked to do that ? they don't care. They care only for money!!!!!!. I hope we won't ever have reasons to visit any thai hospital.

Can someone advise good samui hospital with an excellent urologist ? except bangkok hospital

I doubt you will find a urologist in the government hospital (which is only a secondary level facilty) or at any of the other private hospitals/clinics, all of which are pretty small and limited in their range of specialists. My advice is to either come to Bangkok, where there are a number of excellent urologists (see pinned thread) , or try Taksin Hospital in Surat Thani. Tel 077 285 701, it's near the main market.

Thank you Sheryl, we are planning to go to Bangkok Bumrungrad or BNH, but I am not so confident about that medicine and level of English of the doctors

English is fine and there are excellent, western trained docs there.

Suggest Dr. Viroj at Bumrungrad, UK trained.

Dr. Thanoo at Samitivej is also very good.

I have already made appointment with this doc))) in bumrungrad

Taksin Hospital is seen as a reasonable alternative by residents who cannot travel to Bkk or prefer not to be fleeced locally.
